California Proposition 65 (the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) is a California law that requires businesses to provide warnings when products sold in California may expose individuals to certain chemicals identified by the State of California as causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.
The State of California maintains a list of more than 900 chemicals regulated under Proposition 65. This list is updated periodically and includes substances that may be present in a wide variety of consumer and industrial materials.
Proposition 65 allows businesses either to conduct extensive testing and analysis of materials and components against the listed chemicals and established exposure limits, or to provide a clear and reasonable warning where applicable.
Because many products incorporate multiple materials and components and the list of regulated chemicals continues to evolve, comprehensive testing of every component and production run may not always be practical. Accordingly, Zero Halliburton provides the standard Proposition 65 warning where applicable in order to comply with California law.
Zero Halliburton is committed to maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship in the design and manufacturing of its products.
